Why are we selling from our own site?

We can sell it at a much lower price to our audience and we get a better cut of the profits. We have secured a distributor for the US market (though we can still sell there from our site) but we turned down various offers for worldwide distribution. The contracts they offered were unfortunately very one-sided in favor of the distributor and there was not a lot of transparency when it came to things like the "distribution expenses" to be deducted before we received any form of profit share. The truth is that most indie filmmakers get $0.00 after everyone else involved has taken their cut!! We are hoping to remove the middle-man and be able to repay the budget and the 160+ wonderful, talented people whose efforts and energy made this film possible.

THE STORY

Our story follows four unlikely friends, brought together by their passion for social football, who fall victim to methamphetamine. They all have their own reasons why they succumb to the drug. You will be taken to Gumroad’s secure site for a quick and simple purchase process.

Jimmy, is a used-car salesman - an ex-criminal struggling to go straight and an appalling and unscrupulous businessman. Nick is an obviously conflicted, angry and slightly racist Catholic priest with a hidden past. Thomas, is a psychologist and drug councillor who knows he is no more than a reflection of his father and is painfully aware that his experience, especially around drugs, is limited to books. Raj is an out of work, overweight actor, who is drifting along aimlessly in a terrible relationship with his controlling girlfriend, Ashika.

When a worried parishioner presents Nick with a bag of meth that she found in her son’s room, the drug becomes a catalyst that sends our four friends on a disastrous, but at the same time, hysterical roller-coaster ride that will change their lives forever.
